Parkland Valley Sport, Culture and Recreation District knows how essential and important volunteers are to the everyday success of sport, culture and recreation organizations, and non-profits. Volunteers devote their time, skills, and energy into activities, serve as board members and deliver critical services to their local communities.
That’s why Parkland Valley has created two separate ways communities and organizations within the district can thank and recognize their volunteers. Please read both initiatives and guidelines carefully.
The Volunteer Recognition Initiative was created as a way for organizations and communities to recognize and thank volunteers for their valued contributions. As part of the initiative, organizations and communities will complete a Google Application Form telling us why they’ve chosen to nominate the specific individual.
One nominee (individual) will be selected for each of the following categories: sport, culture and recreation.
The award recipients will designate an organization or program to receive funding of $300. Parkland Valley District will recognize the chosen nominee by traveling to their community for a small recognition event.
Deadline to complete the application for the Volunteer Recognition Initiative CLOSED
