In September, 2007, the Qu’Appelle Valley Recreation Association Inc., Zone 4 Sports Council Inc. and the Parkland Recreation Inc. amalgamated to form Parkland Valley Sport, Culture and Recreation District Inc. We value and promote personal, social, economic, and environmental benefits derived from participating in a variety of leisure pursuits.
We are committed to building healthy, trusting and respectful relationships inside and outside of our organization that are characterized by mutual support, open communication, a respect for differences, and perseverance in working through difficulties.
We use a grassroots approach to engage our communities to understand their diversity, interest, and contributions. We work alongside communities to engage volunteer leadership and participation.
In a world where change is constant, we assume a thoughtful and flexible approach to be proactive.
We recognize diversity exists within our communities and are committed to providing accessible, equitable, inclusive and accountable service and support.
We recognize and capitalize on a diverse collection of strengths that staff, volunteers, and communities bring into our organization. We achieve our mandate of sharing knowledge, skills, building capacity and increasing participation.
