SPRA Leadership Development Grant
Release Date: January 4, 2022 Deadline: CLOSED
Description: The purpose of the SPRA Leadership Development Grant is to assist Active members of SPRA in developing recreation opportunities within the member’s community by increasing the skill level of the community’s volunteers and recreational staff.
Funding: Up to a maximum of $2,000 per training opportunity is available to Active members of SPRA. Preference may be given to applications that show self-help.

First Nations Recreation Development Grant

Description: The SPRA First Nation Recreation Development Grant Program aims to support SPRA members to develop new recreation opportunities or initiatives in their community for First Nations people while also encouraging engagement and support of local First Nations in the development of the recreational opportunities.

Description: The purpose of the Forever…in motion Grant is to support communities in implementing a Forever…in motion program. Forever…in motion is a Saskatchewan based program that helps older adults become physically active through volunteer, peer or staff led physical activity groups.

Description: The Community Cultural Diversity Inclusion Grant aims to support SPRA members in developing recreation programs with a focus of integrating newcomers to Canada, First Nations, Métis and ethno-cultural minorities. Description: Recreation plays a key role in the lives of every Saskatchewan resident and should be available to all. The SPRA Métis Recreation Development Grant Program aims to support SPRA members to develop new recreation opportunities or initiatives in their community for Métis people and encourage engagement.

Description: The Parks for All Action Grant is a commitment to the National Parks for All Action Plan and aims to support efforts that achieve the Parks for All Vision. Efforts can be local, regional or provincial in scope. Applications should highlight how people will be engaged, and the long term benefits that are expected.

Description: The SPRA Framework in Action Grant aims to support SPRA member initiatives that advance the goals and priorities identified within The Framework for Recreation in Canada 2015 – Pathways to Wellbeing.
