Meetings are where important decisions happen – but without clear and consistency, they can be unproductive. Whether you’re using Robert’s Rules of Order or another meeting management system, the key is to be intentional and consistent in your approach.

This meeting will help build your confidence in meetings. Facilitator Tracy Douglass will cover essential meeting principles, common trends, and best practices for productive meeting culture.

In this meeting, attendees will learn: the key principles of effective meeting management, how to structure discussions and decision making, the role of motions, voting and consensus-building, and explore common meeting terminology.

Tracy has extensive experience in roles such as front-line service delivery, program planning, board membership, treasurer, vice-chair and chairperson. Her career has been primarily within the non-profit sector, specializing in program delivery, leadership, volunteer management and board governance consulting.
