SUMMARY:Grant Writing 101 - Writing Persuasive Proposals
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this workshop on persuasive proposal writing and learn how to take your proposal from paper to approval! \nProposal writing is one of the most challenging but also rewarding parts of working in the non-profit world. We all operate on very tight budgets\, so the opportunity to pursue new programs or projects can be very enticing\, but the competition is strong.  \nWhen it comes to proposals\, it’s not always the most qualified organization who gets the grant\, but the most convincing. Your proposal is more likely to gain support if it’s clear\, concise\, and captivating. It needs to convince a potential funder that there is a genuine need in the community\, and that your organization has the experience\, expertise and the tools to address that need. \nThis webinar explores the art of persuasion in your writing\, reviews the steps you need to take to prepare your proposal\, and sets you up to successfully persuade a funder to green-light your project! \nFacilitated by Monica Schroeder with Night Sky Consulting. Monica brings over 15 years of experience working in community development\, with a focus on social enterprise and food access programming. Monica draws on a variety of grassroots programming experiences and is skilled in grant and report-writing\, workforce training and marketing for non-profits.  \nGrant Writing 101 – Writing Persuasive Proposals takes place September 25 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm over Zoom. Registration is required for this free webinar. Questions can be directed to Community Consultant Wendy McLeod.
